Financial Aid Policy

Financial Aid Policy

We are committed to making excellent education accessible by offering financial aid. Applying for aid does not affect our admissions decisions. We expect parents to prioritize their child’s RCS education in their financial planning and to consider all family resources and assets, including potential help from stepparents and grandparents, before applying for financial aid. Parents/guardians of students receiving financial assistance must reapply each year. Applications for re-enrolling students will open on January 1st for the upcoming school year.

For separated or divorced parents/guardians, financial information must also be provided by the non-custodial parent/guardian. These cases are evaluated individually. Financial information from stepparents and other adult supporters of the household will also be required. All application forms, tax information, and related documents are kept confidential. Financial aid awards for returning students will not be considered if the current year's account is overdue.

  • Children's Scholarship Fund

Children’s Scholarship Fund Philadelphia (CSFP) is a privately-funded program whose mission is to provide children from under-resourced Philadelphia families with financial access to quality, safe, K-8th grade, tuition-based schools, thereby increasing their long-term economic and social success. CSFP grants need-based, partial scholarships through a random lottery. CSFP currently serves more than 5,000 children enrolled at over 160 private and parochial schools.

  • Family Choice Scholarship (grades K-12, uses EITC funds)

The Family Choice Scholarship Program has provided important, timely help to hundreds of families in Pennsylvania in need. As an approved scholarship organization for the Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) , Pre-Kindergarten (PK-SO), and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, Family Choice has allowed parents of children between Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade to choose the best educational experience for their child, including private and religious schools.

This non-profit initiative is a project of the Pennsylvania Family Institute, allowing businesses to direct some of their tax dollars to scholarship organizations that help needy families send their children to the school of their choice – including private and religious schools.
