Welcome to Roxborough Christian Preschool

Roxborough Christian Preschool partners with families to nurture the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and intellectual abilities of each child. Children are encouraged to be kind, respectful, and considerate of others while providing them with opportunities to participate in teacher-led and active hands-on, developmentally appropriate learning experiences through play, programming, curriculum, and enrichment practices.

Our extraordinary teachers form the foundation for our program. Each is committed to our mission of education the whole student - mind, body, and soul. They have meaningful interaction with each child, focusing on their emotional well-being and forming strong teacher-student relationships. We believe that giving parents peace of mind means a commitment to supporting and partnering with them.

We want children to LOVE coming to school!

How do we implement our vision, mission, and goals?

Whole Group Circle

Each day begins with a whole group circle time to set the learning intention for the day. Whole group circle time gives children the opportunity to explore themes and concepts together as they share ideas, interact and gain confidence.

Play, Play and…

…a little more play. Through play, children learn about themselves and the world around them. Playful interactions between peers, teachers and in independent settings encourages children to explore, create, build self confidence, curiosity, independence and the ability to cope with challenging situations.

Rest

After lunch and recess, a designated rest time helps children calm their minds and bodies and rejuvenate.

Small Group Rotations

Children pursue their own interest and acquire knowledge through a combination of free choice and teacher-directed activities. Center-based learning enables exploration through play, direct instruction, and sensory experiences.

Enrichment Classes

Under the guidance of specialized instructors, children are given the opportunities to learn, grow, and explore the world around them through Dance, Physical Education, Music, Art and Spanish. Specialty classes provide children the opportunity to develop physically and teach skills for school readiness including intellectual, social-emotional, motor, language, and literacy. It helps the body and the mind work together.
